Nurture is a plant care reminder app. This policy explains what it does with your information. The short version: everything you record about your plants stays on your phone. Nurture shows advertisements, and the advertising provider collects information about your device.
Nurture keeps the following on your device, in its own private storage:
Nurture itself collects nothing. There is no account to create and no sign-in. Nurture has no server of its own, no analytics, and no crash reporting. Your plants, photos, notes, and care history never leave your device unless you deliberately export them.
Advertising is the exception. See the section below.
Nurture can create a backup file containing all of your plants, schedules, history, and photos. This happens only when you ask for it.
You choose where that file goes — a folder on your device, or another app through the share sheet. Once you have shared or saved it, the file is outside Nurture's control, and how it is stored is governed by wherever you put it. Nurture never uploads a backup anywhere on its own.
Nurture asks for these only when the relevant feature is used, and each one is optional:
Nurture is free, and is paid for by advertisements shown on the Today and Plants screens. They are supplied by Google AdMob, and never appear while you are recording or completing care.
To show them, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects information about your device, which typically includes:
This information goes to Google, not to Nurture. It is used to select and measure the advertisements you see. Nurture's developer never receives it, and never sees anything about your plants, because that information is never sent anywhere.
Google's handling of it is governed by their own policies:
Your choices. If you are somewhere that requires consent for personalised advertising — the EEA and the UK among others — Nurture asks before any advertisement is shown, using Google's consent form, and you can change your answer later from the app's settings. Wherever you are, your device also offers controls over the advertising identifier: on Android, under Settings → Privacy → Ads, you can reset it or opt out of personalisation entirely.
Nurture is not directed at children and is not intended for them. It has no age-gate; if you are responsible for a child using it, note that the advertising described above applies to them as it does to anyone.
Everything you record is stored on your device:
Nurture's developer holds nothing about you to delete. Information collected for advertising is held by Google; their policy above describes how to manage or remove it, and resetting your advertising identifier severs it from your device.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published here with a new date. If a change affects what Nurture does with your information, the change will be described in the app's release notes.
